it happened again today. this time the pumpdidn't even start up from the get go. i checked the relay and its getting 12V. ive had good luck with the pumps its just this time. everything looks fine. that makes the kill count to like 4 pumps in 4 months. LOL

nah i never run it down to E. it seems like this new pump in my car is workin fine so ill see whats up and if it happens again ill check out the lines and tank. and how does the pump overheat?

RE: ac delco fuel pumps
What kind of fuel pressure are getting at the rails when the new pump runs fine? The pumping action makes the pump heat up, and flow of fuel through the pump is what cools it. Running at a real high pressure with little to no flow will make it overheat. There are other reasons as well.
