Hey, like the title says, I have a 1995 3.4L V6 Manual tranny. My Service Engine Soon light comes on a little while after I've been driving the car, so I want to read the codes, but everywhere I go (autozone, advance auto, napa) they can't read me codes due to the OBD-I system.

Now I know about using a paperclip, jumping two ports to initiate a blink test to obtain codes, but which ports do i jump?

There must be dozens of posts regarding your problem, but apparently no one reads them. So her goes again.
1) The trouble codes cannot be flashed using the paper clip method after the 93 model.
2) The little code reader boxes that sell for around $30, won't work either.
3) Codes can only be read by using an OBDI scanner, or a scanner that can read both OBDI and OBDII, or a PC with OBDI scanner software.
4) The 95 models still use the OBDI computer, but GM, in it's unlimited wisdom, decided to use a OBDII style test connectors. This means that an OBDI scanner, and a cable that can connect a OBDI scanner to a OBDII test connector are needed.
