What is the difference between MS in Computer Science and MS in Computer Engineering?

Default What is the difference between MS in Computer Science and MS in Computer Engineering?

As we have M.E in Computer and M.Tech in Computers in India which is the related program in USA?
Which are the top universities giving this programs?

There is a lot of overlap between the two titles, but to keep it short, a computer engineer designs the computer, while computer scientist devises ways of doing work using a computer (programming languages, computer applications, etc.)

yeah, Computer Engineering (also sometimes lumped with Electrical Engineering like at MSU) is more hardware-oriented, whereas Computer Science is more software-oriented.

As far as schools go, try finding some 3rd party who ranks that kind of stuff. Or you could just go to Michigan State like me
