if you have monsoon AND a code was set then you need the code otherwise ur screwed and I think the dealer needs to reset it for you.

my car never had a code set on it so i never had to worry about it and now I have a new headunit so i worry about it even less

why not get an aftermarket deck?
you can get mp3 deck pretty cheap now and then you dont have to mess with changing discs?

id like to... but its bose. so ill need to get a whole new setup... which would cost too much.
but im not gonna worry about the bulbs in the stereo... i was hoping theyd be like RIGHT THERE and easy to take out... but oh HELL to the no theyre really far back in there and i tried to mess with one and it blew the interior lights fuse SO im not gonna mess with the radio lol

Have you ever disconnected the battery >30 minutes since owning the car? If so, and you have no problems with the radio, then you're good to go.

it shouldnt matter what brand the stock stereo is
there will still be
a ground
a constant
a Acc. Power
two wires for each speaker.
Possibly a dimmer/power antenna.

all you have to do is identify the wires coming out.
