i recently bought an automatic 99 maro..it came with the stock monsoon head unit, n then whatever speakers come with it..i like to have my music loud, n the bass bumpin', im thinkin to go with 2 10's unless its too much of a hassle.. since there is small space in the trunk and back seats( should i take the back seats out also for the stereo) i really need suggestions as to this is my first car, me being a 20 year old, so id like to get this stereo on it soon...lemme know maro heads, and im also looking to upgrade the exhaust, CAI, not sure which one make a better difference thought, or maybe one 12, please lemme know asap, i cant wait for the bass

 

ive got a 12in 250rmsJBL, 1000max watt amp (like 450rms), stock speakers, 50x4w Kenwood headunit and 8awg Rockford Fosgate amp/sub wiring kit. it bumps, cant hear my exhaust til around 80mph and my entire car shakes. I got the amp and sub for 230 from cartoys and the head unit was a christmas gift but its from best buy.

Now if you want something more pleasing to the eye than a big box sitting in your trunk they make a camaro stealth kit, not sure the website but its around, google it or search for it on here. The kit puts the speakers on the left and right of the trunk panels and the amp/s bracket up to the back panel.

Or if crime is not a problem, you can build a box to go right behind your back seats on that "shelf" Only downside is that is very visible. I can rattle the bodywork on my car though.

Go with two 12's. It will sound real good. Do you have t-tops on your car? If not who cares about trunk space.

 

Q-logic makes a box so you can still use T-tops, not sure how much air is behind the sub though. other than that, i always put my Tops in back seat. only me and my bro ever rode in it.
