Default Stock Stereo

OK i am taking my stock stereo out of 99 camaro to replace with aftermarket stereo, After i took door speaker out noticed 2 sets of wires running to each end of speaker. Question is do i just cancel out one of those sets of wires after installing new speakers, I have never seen this before in any vehicle.
