They were USAC events, Outlaw SPL. So whats the difference, I thought a DB meter was DB meter.

No, no, no. They most definatly are not. I was on a meter that resembled an alarm clock, did 149.1, had the same set-up and did a meter at the shop I worked at, 142.3. And that was within 3 days of each other. So theres no way something changed. I can't remember what mic was at where I worked, but it's cost alot more than my entire system did.

Ok, so they vary some, but I'm probably still in the 140's. The mic they were using was a globe mic, don't know how good it is? I thought that was a little high, but I still hit a 147 at competition, and thats where it matters isn't it?

Mine was at my dash, where its supposed to be.

**** it, we mounted it inside the box, sealed box that is.

The place where I did my "alarm clock" meter was at a drag strip, and it was just some dude with this crappy mic. The strip allowed it because no one else was willing to put up the money with a real mic and go up there and do it. Im not burning you for where or what mic you were on and what numbers you did. But I don't run around saying I almost did 150 dB, for one reason, I know it wasn't really that high it was simple because it wasn't a quality mic.

This basically comes down to this, if you can hook up a tuner or programmer or whatever to your car and it'll tell you your HP and TQ. And you also ran on a dyno, which number are you going to trust.

My box is sealed, it dosen't have a port. The mic was placed in the floor, buy the passenger side door speaker.

I get what your saying, and if I just ran iton some friends crappy meter then your right, but this was a USAC event, what meter would I have to run on for it to be "offical" to you guys?
