Question Rear side speakers missing

Hi I have a 94 camaro with the Bose system and today I was just pokin around and noticed the rear side speakers aren't there...there's just a grille over where the speaker should be...are speakers supposed to be there? I don't see any wires either in the whole...I read someone else had this preoblem too on yahoo answers...any input would be appretiated. Thanks

If you can't see any single wiring attached along that area, it basically means that the slot was indeed intended for rear speakers but just that the car dealer is not providing a free one to go with your car audio system.

In 94 the Bose system for Camaro came factory installed with one amplified subwoofer on the left side of the rear compartment, and one amplified speaker in each door. Power for the speakers was provided by the individual amps attatched to the speakers. The head unit acted as a preamp and provided the signal to the individual amps. The rear unit comes in a box under the left rear cover and you need to lift the cover to see it.

Sounds like you got screwed man. This would be a perfect time to just tear it all out and go aftermarket.
