Default Need help chosing Amp

I currently have :

Back - (2)Boston S95 [6x9]
120w Peak
4ohm

Front - (2)Boston 5X7 [4x6]
80w Peak
4ohm

Subs - (2)Boston Rally RS12 [12"]
400w Peak

I'd like to amplify the subs definatly and was wondering if I should amplify the speakers (my stereo is 50x4). Please suggest what you think i should go for and do a little explaining on what I should base my choice off of

What kind of car is this going in? If it's a second gen camaro you may find that two 12's might be abit much. It's up to your individual tastes , but, Camaro's have verygood acoustics it dose'nt take much to get good sound out of one. I have found that a two amp set up works the best for me, you get cleaner sound at higher volumes and it takes the load off the head unit and transfers it to the amp which is better suited to handle it. A speakers RMS is about half what it's peak rating is. 120 peak is about 60 to 65 RMS 80 should be bout 40 RMS. I would suggest a 4 channel in the 250 to 300watt RMS range for your 6X9's and 5X7's w/amps highpass filter turned on and a 2 channel amp in the 800 to 1000watt peak range to feed those 4ohm subs bridged to one channel (mono) w/amps lowpass filter turned on. As for what kind of amp? thats up to your budget. The more you pay the better the product usually, also warranty, buy the extended warr. it's sound piece of mind.
