Ok so I picked up a set of almost brand new Mickey Thomson Streets. They are 26/11.5/17. Now I have a set of 17" ZR1 wheels that already have brand new tires on them with Nittos on the rear and I want to keep them on and keep those as my street tires. And I wanna put the mickys on a different set for the track.

Theres a guy that has the older vette wheels that are 17x9.5. I believe they are off a 80's vette and they are the like the salad shooter wheels.

now I have 2 questions. will the tires be ok to mount on a 9.5" wheel?

and will those wheels with the tires fit under the back end of my 94Z?

Yeah, the wheels should fit in the rear depending on the offset, but since it's only 9.5" wide, it shouldn't be a problem at all to fit them under.

As for the tires, I'm not 100% sure if they will work, but if I had to guess, I would say no considering the tread is 11.5" wide and the rim is 9.5" wide. Who knows, maybe the side walls have enough stretch to make that work, but I'm not entirely sure.

 

ended up getting a set a zr1 wheels that are black witha chrome lip for $50 couldn't pass it up and they are 9.5" wide, i mounted my MT's on them yesterday and bolted them up to the camaro and the fit perfectly should be getting some nice hook ups with this tire/wheels combo
