Thoughts on Sumitomo tires?
#11
I just got a set of these for my new wheels and so far o can't complain. They feel pretty smooth and handle nicely. I was planning on getting Hoosiers but for $100 a piece they're definitely worth it. I have not driven in the rain yet

I've had them on my car since about 55k miles, currently at 83k. They've worn real nice, still have decent tread left up front, and handle well. Rain? The Camaro itself sucks in the rain so it's really a moot question. I did, however, have a rear blowout with the Sumitomos and had to have the rears replaced. Since I had to get off the freeway immediately, I got a pair of Firestones. I got lucky-the blowout happened near an exit and the Firestone store was on the corner! I'd have rather replaced with the Sumitomos. They handle better than the Firestones. Hope that helps.

Doral
They have a Doral brand at some stores; Sumitomo made in Indonesia. Been on mine for 38k miles and wear like iron, but are indeed noisy, and not the best grip but at least signal before they gradually break loose...
