Paint Job complete! (pic heavy!!!)

Total cost was $2900. I priced it at 7 or 8 different body shops and the lowest quote I got was $4600. This guy does all the body and prep work out of his house garage and then rents a spray booth from a local body shop to do the paint. (ironically, from one of the places that quoted me $6k+)
His original quote was $2k, but once he started digging in, he kept finding more cheese and more rust....so I bit the bullet and got him to do it right, even though we ended up almost 50% higher than the original quote.
He still has to come back an buff out a few dust specks and a bit of overspray on the clear, but overall it's a good job. I shouldn't have to worry about painting it again in my lifetime. It's winter stored in a heated shop and I don't drive it in the rain if I can avoid it.
Overall, I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Yea, I made the mistake of wiping off some dust with a microfibre cloth when it was dry. The black shows EVERY swirl mark....I know I am overly sensitive right now to marks in the paint, but man, I was super pissed when I saw them.
Compound will be coming out when it warms up a bit to clean it up. I have another few weeks before I can wax it too.....
Hard to look at the dust on it in the shop though!

I do have 295's on the back, and it's a 9.5" rim. No rubbing issues yet, but I haven't had a chance to take it for a long drive yet. I did intentionally go over some large bumps and dips at about 45 mph and had no probs. We'll see what it's like at highway speed once the weather gets nicer and we get rid of a lot of this sand and salt on the road still.

i like the paint job, and the price you paid. my 94 has rust in almost the exact same places as yours did. i think the previous owner drove it in the winter, but body work is one of the last things on the list to do at this point
