Thumbs up New to me rims for a good price

Just picked up a set of C5 Vette rims I found on CL for $125 The PO had painted the face a beige color but it doesn't matter b/c I'm going to get them powder coated gloss black.

Thanks Craby, I'll definitely post pics when they're all done.
Not sure what brand yet, kind of thinking of Hankooks V12 b/c I had those on the camaro and liked the way they handled in dry weather and in rain. I was also thinking of creating a thread to get brand recommendations.
Size wise I was thinking 285 in the rear and like 255 up front

Thanks me too. I know its everyones own choice but I really don't like when guys keep the smaller sizes on the rear. Right now with the 245's that came with her I feel like I'm on bicycle tires lol, they will now become my winter rims and tires. I was thinking to go wider originally but don't want to roll fenders or do the BFH mod. Plus I might lower about an inch in the future and with the NYC streets being what they are I don't want any rubbing issues.

I have the C5 Z06's on mine with 275's up front and 295's in the back. Looks and drives awesome. I went Falken FK 452's and like them a lot.

Post pics once you get them PC'd. I painted mine gloss black at the end of last year, but I am thinking of stripping them next winter and PC'ing them. We'll see how the paint holds up over the summer I guess.

+1 on the Falken 452's. I put them on my C4 Vette last year and love them. Noticeably better handling on both dry and wet compared to the Goodyear's they replaced.
Reasonably priced too. And no, the Goodyears were far from worn out.

What size rims do you have? I was thinking about 295s but was worried about rubbing issues, do you have any issues? I don't think I can go 295 anyway as the R rims are 9.5". Is yours lowered at all?

Definitely goin to post pics should all be done in the next two weeks if everything goes as planned.

Thanks for the input. I'll look into these.

My C5's are 9.5" and the 295's are fine. I think I could have gone one size bigger actually. No probs with rubbing right now. I do have sportlines to go on, so we'll see if I have issues then, but with the stock springs, no problem at all.
