Default Need some opinions: Hankooks V12's vs Nitto NT555's

Hey all,

I'm getting new tires for my new shoes and have to stay at the price of the below (about $700) or under if there is better for cheaper.

I'm looking for some opinions because I just saw that I can get either the
Hankooks V12's or the Nitto NT555's within $5 of each other shipped.

Originally I was going to get the V12's b/c I had them on my camaro and felt they handled very well in both dry and wet conditions (street driving), but now I found the NT555's for like the same price and know a lot of guys run them so I figured I'd get your feedback.

Let the floor be opened to opinions!

Ive been running V12s for awhile on my car. They do great in wet and dry, and ive cut 2.0 60's on them :P Tire rack has hankooks for pretty cheap.

Thanks Socom,

Thats exactly where I was going to get them from if I ordered them, which I'm probably going too. When I had them on the camaro I felt like they were great just figured I'd get a few other opinions.

How's your car doing these days? Haven't really seen any updates or anything in your project thread figured everybody's pretty much hibernating lol

Yeah their shipping is really quick too. I've just been driving it every now and then. School has been keeping me occupied for awhile. The only thing ive done since the tune is gotten an electric cutout. Hopefully I can get out to the track soon and see how it does. I picked up around 40 horsepower and tq from the tune so Im excited to run it again.

Good stuff, nice little hp & tq pick up there. I need a tune myself just can't afford it right now. I've heard I should pick up a little b/c of the exhaust setup, lid, and filter. Plus I wanna tune out all my air crap and rear O2's. I really wanna get it dyno tuned but as I said can't afford it. If I go down to philly anytime soon though my wife's cousin has a dude he rolls with that has a sick vette and does performance work, he said he would tune my bird for cheap (family discount )

Not related to tires, but send your PCM off to Frost. He does some of the best tuning for LS1's and for a bolt on car, a mail order tune can be just as good as a dyno tune for much cheaper. Frost is highly respected and recommend on tech and I used himself after I did my headers, great experience. TunedByFrost.com - Professional Tuning For Your LSx Powered Car or Truck

You might check with Discount Tire. They will match or beat Tire Rack.

I bought a set of four V12's for my '04 BMW M3 'Vert, delivered to my door, had local BMW dealership install and perform a four-wheel alignment, total cost $865.

I like my Hankook Evo's...

Just wanted to share:
Ended up getting the V12's 255/40/17(f) 285/35/18(r) from tire rack and must say I'm very happy with the experience. I ordered my tires yesterday morning and they were delivered today before noon, I mean wow talk about fast shipping.
