Changing From 16s to 17-inch Wheels

you gotta know that all the SS camaro's had STOCK 275/40-17 tires with 17x9 wheels. So of course they will fit any 1993-02 f-body. am i right?

my question is, If you upsize from the 16" wheels, with 245/50 tires to the 275/40s will that mess up your speedometer? or is the rolling distance the same on both tires.

should be the same tire hight so no the speedo should not change
