10 inch Wheels on my 1978
I am not shure if this has been discused or not or if someone already knows it or not, but here goes.
I put on a wheel in the rear of my car that measures (15x10) - ( 5 - 4 3/4) - ( 4.00 inch Back Spacing) with a 275/60 R15 kelly charger tire. It sticks out past the rear fender by 1/2 inch maybe, and I have nearly 3 inches between the rear tire and the leaf springs. My rear frame is stock, no relocated leaf springs , nothing. only thing is I rolled my rear fender lips just incase of any clearance issues. with a MIG you can do anything . now for the front end. I also used the same wheel and tire combo up front. I turned my wheels lock to lock and the BIG 10 incher cleared my (Stock) front swaybar by a good inch, no rubbing on the lower door cab or anything. I have not put on my front fenders yet nore have I rolled them yet, but once it is all said and done I think I can get by with doubling up some polyurethane Body mounts and get the extra fender to tire clearnce I need, with front and rear fender extensions from yours trooly (Classic Industies) and a good set of stiff front and rear springs and maybe Coil overs or Air shocks ???
No Pro Touring setup, no Super Dragster , Just something that looks Old School and just as powerfull as it looks.

Coil overs handle better and are used for fine tuning. Air shocks are good for a compromise of luxury and performance... Coil overs last longer too. You have more options too.

by any chance were these rims and tires free?
sounds like you are just trying to cover one problem up with another. you are just openign up a can of worms (two sets of bushings?) with this type of thinking.
also air shocks are a very low-cost/poor substitute for doing things right, almost as bad as shakle extensions

Those 10 inchers look cool but they don't handle all that great. I got a set on the rear of my Z and they are comming off ASAFP. all the power in the world don't mean squat if all you can do is go straight. So it's fast...How dose it drive?
