Brake help..

Default Brake help..

I have a quick ? Will some rear disc brake calipers off a 98 z28 fit a 94 z28?

i believe you have to change the axles to do it.

thats what i was seeing on a search, it seems its easier to use c6 brakes. in any case its the fronts that need the upgrade, all the weight is up there so rears don't do much and if you upgrade the rear without doing the front you will have issues with abs.

You would need to get everything off the rear as far as brakes go. The '98 and up models have the parking brake inside the rotor compared to being part of the caliper assembly as it is in the earlier models.

I don't believe you'd need to change axles, but you would need the backing plate for the parking brake, the parking brake cables, the parking brake shoes and hardware, calipers and rotors.
