Hey looks like a great deal for 1000 dollars. I know how it goes when people dig into the electronics of a car and mess it up. My front turn signals won't flash because someone thought they knew what they were doing. Keep posting those pics!

Well today I replaced the actual wiper/blinker/cruise switch and no luck with the wipers. If i remove the jumper wire he has rigged to a toggle from an empty fuse spot the don't work at all. If I turn on the toggle switch the switch turns them on but no control over speed/delay and they wont turn off unless I turn off the toggle switch. I'm thinking the problem is the switch in the column (which I'm hoping not).

Usually when the wipers wont park properly it is the logic board that is on the wiper motor itself. The jurry rig that this guy has done sounds like it is for bypassing the switch that is in the column. Now he may have done this to stop wipers that will not shut off. Again wipers that will not shut off is usually the logic board not the switch. I think I would look into restoring the wiring to the factory conditions and replacing the wiper motor. The cheapest place to get them is from the wrecking yard and they are all the same from 93-02. Your local auto part store will tell you they are different but if you look they are the same, one comes with the mounting bracket and arm one is just the motor alone. Just make sure that the car you pull the motor off has the delay wipers if your car does too.

Thanks Massey. I have a great car I found in the junk yard I've been getting odd and end stuff from. I was actually gonna go the motor route first to see if that works and it will be cheaper.

Default Stero Wiring

I have a 96 also with an aftermarket stereo from po. The stereo turns off on its own every once in a while and the power windows will not work at all while the stereo has no power. The stereo will usually come back on if I turn the car off and then back on or random if I keep driving. I pulled the stereo out and couldn't find any problems with the wiring job wasn't all hacked up, looked professional. Gotta love chasing down the electrical.

There a sticky on how to fix your problem somewhere in the 4th gen section.

Edit*
Found it,

Thanks Jordan,

I am going to pull the board out today and give the fix a try in the sticky you found. Sounds like it has worked for most everyone else.
