I have both working AC/heat but for some reason it will not blow out of the dash vents. It comes out strong by my feet and when i put it on defrost it still comes out by my feet but i can feel a little blowing out of the defrost vent.

What is going on??

 

Maybe the HVAC came loose. What year is your car? v6 or v8?

 

Check the vacuum lines going to the hvac controls and also the line that heads out into the engine bay. It should have a vacuum canister that it goes into somewhere near the battery. if that is not connected the heater controls will not work.

Could also be your heat resistor that's burnt out. It's under the dash attached to the blower motor.

 

The heat resistor would only effect the blower motor. It appears that he has air blowing just not where he wants it.

i feel stupid because i dont know where im looking

 

i had same probelm with mine, look under hood passenger side up near windshield close to cpu is 3 way vacuum tee one of mine hoses was broken i got a new tee an pugged them back in an now i get air flow from where i set the dial defrost floor or dash vents.

 

Same thing here, it was a quick fix
