Why am I redlining?

Default Why am I redlining?
Everytime I gun it all the way on first gear it redlines and gets all weird. Doesn't do it always, just when I gun it. Why is this?

If it's an automatic, it may be that you go through first so fast that for a brief instant you get to redline before the car knows to shift. What do you mean by all weird?

Its not weird, it sounds cool actually but I just hope its not a transmission problem.

I would think that since that is the only time it happens, that it's not the tranny.
