i have a 96 CAMARO v6 with a auto tranny but it is sliping and is overall in need of replacement i was wondering what aftermarket tranny would be good in it ?

It would be cheaper to get your rebuilt. Add a shift kit & you will be all set.

 

If I were you I would get a 700R4 ( 4L60-E ) your car has a transmission that takes command from the powertrain control module ( PCM ) which also controls the engine. You might find one on ebay or a local wreckage yard. That way you don't have to do any mods to your driveshaft or your rear end gears.
