Hey guys i have a '98 camaro I just got... 3.8L... it runs really rich im guessing because i can smell gas pretty bad... it idles rough, sounds like has a cam and sometimes it randomly stalls out.. its throwing a code P0300 but thats all... which is random misfire... sometimes my car just cranks, i know its fuel injected but if I hold the gas to the floor while trying to start it starts right up... you dont always have to do this just when it doesnt want to start... what do you guys think could be my problem?? i do know one time it backfired through my exhaust but it hasnt really done it lately and if i rev it up it just cuts out pretty bad..

 

check your plugs and see if they need to be replaced. thats where you could start.

As tripwire posted, check plugs, wires, fuel filter, coil packs. Most of the time, it is related to one or more of these items.
