Default what is the best way to clean a MAF sensor?

What is the best and safest way to clean a MAF sensor? The vehicle has not run in over 3 years before I got it to run again. It runs fine but I've got a code (32 or 34, I can't quite remeber) and I've already checked the connector and wiring. I don't want to just start spraying anything in there that might screw it up. Thanks

we have some stuff we use to clean circuit boards at work called electrical contact cleaner, just spray it in and it cleans it and then quickly evaporates.

Thanks 94z28shaker, I've seen electric contact cleaner spray at NAPA. I'll give it a try.
