weird engine ticking noise when i start car!!!

when you say you used seafoam, where do you mean you put it? you can put it in 3 different places, pcv ,fuel tank and crank case. For this problem i think PCV and crank case are the necessary places to put the seafoam. however my car is working good now the ticking noise went away....

My 3.8 does this same thing and it is caused by some debris in the lifters clogging them up and not allowing them to pressurize properly. The sound is caused by slack in the lifter assembly and once the engine warms up the oil can flow more freely and get where it need to go. The seafoam was able to clean out the lifter he is all good. Some times it takes a couple of tries to get it all out.
Replacing the lifters will usually solve this but so will using an engine cleaner or seafoam. Be careful of engine cleaners since some of them are so aggressive that they can cause more harm than good.
For those of you who said piston hitting the head or piston slap have you ever hear that? One is barely noticable (slap) and the other usually causes things to break and does not go away with the engine warming up. Piston slap is really common on LS engines but not the 3.8.
