Water pump

Default Water pump

so here is the issue i have a 93 3.4 and it overheats after a few miles i was looking around i i think it is the water pump but when i went to replace it i took of the top hose that goes from the radiator to the engine that inlet was bone dry after that i looked at the overflow tank and it was nasty as hell and i have no heat. Question is what could the problem be and what is ab easy way to change the water pump f there is one?

The dry hose is a good indication that the coolant level is very low. That would cause the engine to overheat and the heater to run cold. If the radiator seems full of coolant and the hoses are dry, then the radiator may be clogged. The overflow tank normally gets pretty ugly with age, but that should pose no problem.

the raidaitor is full i fill it up all the time i think the water pump is bad and how whould i unclog the raidator

Pumps are usually replaced when they leak, but seldom break and actually stop pumping. Your pump could have leaked out the missing coolant, look around the pump shaft and weep hole below the shaft for signs of leaking coolant. You can try flushing the radiator if it appears to be clogged, or you can have a radiator shop look at it, but for about the price of a professional boil out, you can buy a new one and replace it yourself.

really that sucks it seems as thou the unnper outlet hasent seen collant in a long time its all rusted and ****

Also check the thermostat, although they usually fail in the open position it could have failed in the closed state, or could be all gunked up, and preventing coolant flow.
