First time poster here. I have a 1998 Camaro, 3.8l, and I need to replace some parts of my exhaust, and in doing so, I want to upgrade. But want to know what the best way is, or what some good setups are to help eliminate the known higher rpm rasp. Is there a thread someone can point me to? I've seen videos and heard things I like. Not looking to replicate a V8 here. Current muffler is rusting and I have an exhaust leak, and the cat is hollow, sounds like garbage and I'm finally long past tired of it lol. I'm wanting to do headers, and upgrade to a dual exhaust along with a new cat. Are the Pacesetter mid-lengths the only option? Is it a good option? MagnaFlow or Flowmaster cat back? Something else? 3" or 3.5" tips? Help please. Also, fresh pics of my car
cat will take most of the rasp out. my 2000 came with ls1 Camaro exhaust and I just left it on, seemed to sound ok. I have obx cat back waiting to put on when I get time and opportunity. lol son blew engine in his car so he has had it for a year now.
