Not exactly what you're asking, but for one thing, you need these in addition to your bump stops for 17" and bigger wheels:

or these poly all-in-one units:

i have 18x9 (i think) corvette c5 wheels on the rear of my car, and they rub when taking corners fast. I know it rubs on a little bump inside the fender well. I plan to fix by introducing the fender well to mr. sledge hammer

You need what I posted, at the least.

Damn do I really need those? You don't think the 1 inch spacer will fix it completely? I also plan on lowering it, would that give me any new problems with my wheel size? (I'm lowering it like 1.4in in the back) You need those bump stops only for the rear right?

Definitely need them, rear only. Keep in mind those are for 17", so with 18", you may still have a little issue, but less with the spacer.

Hmm damn, well I'll see how it goes with the spacers but I will probably buy these then. What exactly do they prevent from doing? My tires don't seem to rub in the area where those bump stops belong.

WOW are you lazy! Do you want me to translate the English from the web-page and spoon feed you too?

"They are designed to raise the jounce bumper stop to prevent tire contact with the inner wheel well."

You don't need poly bump stops. BFH that **** and be done with it. That's what I did.

I didn't say he needed poly, but he needs the jounce spacers.

There is also a poly version that already has it integrated.
