Using 91 fuel good or bad?
The six cylinder cars, 3.4 or 3.8, were optimized to run on regular fuel. The higher octane fuel won't make them run any better, unless the heads are heavily carbonized and causing preignition. If the PCM tune is changed to allow more spark advance, the the higher octane fuel may give a little more power. However, there is point where additional spark advance will not provide additional power regardless of the fuel grade. Too much spark advance will actually decrease power, even if detonation is not present, because firing the plugs too early will, in extreme cases, try to spin the engine backwards. The octane needs of an engine are mainly determined, by compression, head design, and valve timing.
Hahahahahahahaha. 3.4 , 3.8
Take it the track
