First thing, make sure your 3000 has the latest firmware (V4.07), if not, update it:

i need a computer with a serial port and xp
my comp just has xp so i am looking for someone who has an old comp

USB (Universal SERIAL Bus) is a serial port -- if you have the USB Autoxray cable (or you can order it from them).

Else you can get one of these to convert USB to older style Serial 9-pin port:

Im not too knowledgeable on alarm systems, but to get an auto start system on a manual trans, Ive heard they have to do something to the clutch sensor to trick it into thinking the clutch pedal is pushed in.otherwise, the car will not start.

the code 39 must be due to that. there may not even be any problem with it, the computer may just be throwing the code because of the changes made by the shop
