Default Transmission removal

I have a 98 V6 camaro and i'm trying to remove the t5 manual transmission. I have everything disconnected but when I try to pull the transmission back the top of the bellhousing hits the tunnel. With this happening the input shaft doesn't completely clear the way to come out. Any ideas on how the trans should be removed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shawn

I'm going to assume that you took the trans crossmember out right? Well I'd put some wood on the front end of the motor so that way it tilts and pivots on the motor mounts.
