Default 3.8L Manual Transmission Removal Trouble

Hello all,

I just got my car a month ago and soon after I encountered some transmission trouble. I am almost done removing the transmission(all the bolts are out and it is backed up about 1.5 inches), but it is stuck on the yellow cable where the clutch line goes in.

Any tips on how to get past that or remove it, or even better a how to(which I cannot find anywhere) would be very helpful.

Thanks.

I had unbolted everything at the bell housing and it wouldn't budge more than an 1.5 inches, so the best advice I could find online from similar transmission removals was to take of the transmission first. And if the internal slave comes with it, something else must be holding the bell housing up, just not sure what.

I'm not sure what a torque arm mount is but I removed everything else listed. It rocks around when I try to pull it out but it wont come out any further.

If you are pulling the whole unit then I assume the yellow line is not longer the issue. It just will not come out? If the car is high miles you can get a lot of built up of clutch dust on the input shaft on the "other" side of the clutch plate. This can make remove very tuff.

If this the case it should not get like a hard stop, it should feel almost like a spring is holding it. You have two joices Unbolt the clutch or go Gorilla on it. Also make sure you are pulling straight out, the clutch plate does not like to bind.
