the only reason i ask is because im getting a 3800 series 2 engine and transmission with it and i would really like a five speed. he is giving me everything that had to do with the drivetrain, basically pulling everything out from his v6 and giving to me, from the cats to the clutch and just everything that was on the car. im unsure how to do this, and help will do me some good. my car is a 94 3.4l.

It ain't worth it. I have contemplated the same thing, and so have many others. I ran through all the parts needed with a friend of mine who is a GM tech. With parts and labor the cost was close to $5k, and that is with a discount as the guy doing the work is a close friend of mine. If you want a 5 speed, buy one with it. Even if you got your hands on all the little parts, the labor cost would still be a lot unless you really know what you are doing.

its so0o0o0o easy u can do urself!!! really the only major things are u need to cut the hump in the center and the firewall for the master. firewall is already marked by the carpet and hump u can do ny putting up the tranny and cut around it. if ur setup already comes with the clutch and everything, all u really need to buy is the master. the extra pedal thing is all 1 assembled bracket that u replace for 1 with a clutch pedal. its held on with the 4 brake master bolts and i think 1 more gooin up.its easy i just did need nemore help let me know.

NO labor cost for me, we're doing it all. we got all lifts, stands drill and tools that we need to do this.
