Default LT1 m6 transmission questions

Hi, I have a 96 lt1 with a manual 6 speed. ive noticed that after a while of driving, say... Half hour or so, the shifter area is warm and the tunnel in betweek the back seats is also warm. Not hot though... Is this normal? I have not done much "trouble shooting" as I haven't had the car too long...

I'm not sure if its normal, but I know my auto gets warm like that too. My e-brake will get warm, but not hot.

your exhaust runs along the driveshaft so it would stand to reason that area would be warm after running the car for a time.
