I have a 5 speed v6 1995 Camaro. While backing up I have to hold the car in reverse or it jumps out of gear....What am I looking at here guys?

 

Basically you have a transmission problem which will require dismantling the transmissio. It could be worn out parts, a weak spring, linkage adjustment, etc.. The problem is that everything is inside of the transmission case.

 

SHould a rebuild kit do the trick for me.

 

It probably would, but I am not aware of rebuild kits for manual boxes.
