Trans problem? need advice :(
So I have a problem. I will explain the story-
First of all my car is a 2000 3.8 5-speed.
Ok so I was coming home from work, on my way down a hill that comes to a 3-way intersection. I was in second and I put in the clutch and am about to stop at the stop sign. All of a sudden it starts grinding like crazy(foot still on the clutch) so I go to take it out of gear, but it's stuck. I got it out of gear, but really needed to force it out. Then I couldn't put it in gear- at all. I tried to push it in gear but nope, won't go. I tried pushing the clutch numerous times to try to get it in gear but nothing worked. I turned the car off, put it in first, then turned it back on. It grinds like it did earlier. Nothing I did worked, so after about 5 minutes of struggling with it I decide to try to roll home. Luckily it worked because the incline of the road gave me enough momentum to turn onto my street and roll right up to my house.
I parked it for the night and tried it again but no luck.
So! If you read my whole story thank you already. Now I want to try to get an understanding of what exactly happened. Do you think it's the clutch? I don't believe it is the pedal itself(I wish)- it feels the same as it always did.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Andrew
