I'm really not sure. I still say just Dremel out the plastic a bit. Wouldn't take much, and doesn't require any soldering...but I'd like to know how that all works out anyway.

Lol true but I broke one of the plastic sockets anyways while I tool it out. It was all britle and snapped when I twisted it.
I'm gonna bring the lights with me to see if they fit and the broken socket to see if the wires are the same.

Wink Little more to it!

There is a little more to this than everybody thinks! I have an article in PDF (saved the article and not the link when I found it) that I will try to send as an attachment in a PM. Sorry, I have no way to post as a link.

The best way to do this is to use the LS1 style complete and splice the wires. Forget swapping bulb sockets. It also involves running another lead all the way from the dash. I have bought the lights and am going to do this on my LT1.

If anyone else would like this PDF doc please PM me.

"Morav"

P.S. - Could not find a way to attach a PDF to a PM. If you want a copy, PM me your email address, ditto to anyone who would like a copy.
Pls title it: Tail Light PDF Wanted
Hope I can help!

I have a web server that I could post the PDF on, then link to it here so everyone can download it. If you're interested, you can send the PDF to me at wiskow[at]gmail.com.
