Is the t5 in my car the same t5 in mustangs?

That's the Hurst shifter in the SS and trans ams. I have it mine and love it. Very comfortable and has a large head so resting your hand on it is easy and comfortable.

This was driving me crazy cause i knew someone made a shorty shifter lever for the hurst. I found it.

This is a direct bolt into my Hurst T5 shifter. Note the two bolts. I think the new design shifters do not have that. My original shifter lever is flat in the middle with the word hurst down the side. I think the new hurst shifter are like the Pro 5.0. the shifter lever is not replacable.

Is the shifter really notchy? My Mother has a Hurst shifter in her 07 Mustang GT and it's super notchy, like you can really feel the "h" pattern if you get what i'm saying. And That's the ball I want too, DarkKnight. Except for a 5 speed version, of course.

ummm, not really, 2nd to third you can feel it, others i wouldnt say it is, it just kinda glides in its track lol
