Default T vs Z Rated Tires Handling Difference Significant?

How significant a difference are T-rated tires vs Z-rated tires on a V6?

T rated tires are good for speeds upto 118 mph. Z are rated for over 149 mph. Regardless of V6 or V8, are you planning to go over 118 mph. If not, I don't see any real advantage. Just my $0.02.

All those ratings means are the speeds the tires can safely obtain without risking tire warp, shearing, or possibly a blowout

I heard that even if your not planning to go above the T speeds, the Z tires are better for cornering & handling. Anyone here work at at a tireshop and have experience with both on the same car and can point out any perceived differences?

Well I personally noticed no difference between mine... Your tires don't wear out as fast but that's about it...

I know what your talking about liberty, Ive heard that too, and cal, the speed rating doesnt have anything to do with wear, the wear rating does lol. Id just call a tire shop or perhaps even a little speed shop in your area, usually, they are pretty friendly and will answer your question.

Generally the higher the speed rating, the less the tire wears down... All my tires have been that way... Unless you just buy a super hard tire made of cheap rubber... I've personally used H, T, W, Z and never felt any differences...

Your also driving a v6 camaro and do you go the track on a regular basis? Just saying, not all people will be able to notice every little thing, but tire manufacturers will tell you the same thing, the higher the speed rating, the better over all performance.

Yes I do... Lol. There is better performance on paper... But you don't notice it. Just like with a muffler... A dynomax super turbo outflows a magnaflow which outflows a flowmaster... Can you tell the difference?

The answer is still NO.
