Suspension modifications
I am in the process of modifying my v6 to hold the 70's 350 small block. In case anyone was interested here are some findings along the way so far.
I went with Spohn Performance for my aftermarket parts.http://www.spohn.net
I have to figure out how to resize my pictures to post them...help?
AnyhowI purchased the tubular lower and upper control arms. I also purchased a tubular k-member without motor mounts.
The lower control arm from Spohn weighs in at 10 lbs compared to the factory at 12 lbs
The upper control arm from Spohn weighs in at 3 lbs compared to the factory at 5 lbs
On the upper control arm I went with the standard bushings and are non adjustable.
THe total upper and lower control arm unit with front hub and brake assembly weighs just 85 lbs each side now.
