What can I do to my 3.1 to gain a little more horse power? What are my options? I'm buying a K&N air filter for it.

Will the K&N make a noticable difference in power? I'm new to this as I'm only 17 so any additional explination to suggestions given would help me a lot.

Trust me when I say, respect your car. I being 19 and totaled (flipt) my 97 Toyota Celica GT, have much more respect for my Camaro then I ever did for my Celica. Its fun to drive fast and show off your car but keep it on the track.

Anyways...a CAI will make a small noticable difference.(Throatier sound and may have a small suction) From there you can get an exhaust system ( better with headers ). Then you can try a performance chip...and maybe a underdrive pulley kit.

As far as lots of power goes...Me being 19 and in college, funds are limited and rare from time to time. Superchargers are hard to find for low liter engines like ours and always expensive. Turbos are ricer ****...ImMyOpinion. But N2O...Its a nice thing to have as a power adder. $500-900 bucks and you can change the variations of the amount of power you can get. 25 shot, 50, 75, 100, 125...ect. Becareful to not over-do it.

Changing your rear diff gears will add accel but take away speed. Uhh...More ppl will post more things.

 

Know of any good chips? Would a chip cause my car to be less reliable?
