Supercharger?
Hey all. Been away for awhile but I'm back! I am rebuilding my Camaro over the winter. It's drivable now but there are some issues with the frame and floor I need to address. I also want to rebuild the engine. I figure if I'm going to do something, I might as well do it right.
The Camaro has a 3.4L engine, Pacesetter headers, stage-II clutch, 1-piece driveshaft and many other mods. See my build thread for more.
I recently bought a 2000 Grand Prix GTP and love it. I know there are turbo kits available for the 3.4L but I want a supercharger. 9 PSI will do just fine. Superchargers give you power at all ranges where turbos only give power at high RPM. The 3.4L doesn't rev high enough to get the full benefit of turbo IMO. So, I have done searches etc but haven't found anything for a belt-driven supercharger for the 3.4L engine. Does it exist? Is this possible? If anyone has any info please let me know.

Please give us a link to the turbo kits! In 5 years on this board I have not seen a Supercharger kit for a 3.4. or a 3800 Now by kit I mean it is a direct bolt on. I have seen universal kits that with mods can be made to work.

Well I searched the net for Camaro 3.4 Vortec kit and the company has done a good job at hiding it. All i have find is post of people asking about kits but no links to kits for sale.
Just search for Supercharger on one of the big 60 deg V6 sights. There are a few around, it has been awhile since I reserched it. I know I have read some build threads. Noramlly the guys blow their motors up around 300 HP cry about the wasted money and then buy a V8.

The one I posted (I took this pic) is a belt driven supercharger (which is what vortech manufacturers). I talked to the guy about it and he made the kit himself. He bought the headunit and then made brackets and standoffs for the blower, which really isnt that hard, it would just take a load of time and test fitting. Oh boy did it sound good when he started it though.
