ss springs on a v6?
FYI, word from Strano these days is the Bilstein HD vs. SLP versions are the SAME, as they both now supposedly have the same part #s (which was NOT always the case in the past):

SLPs have a little stiffer dampening on the rear to help with handling. Either one would be fine though. After you get shocks, look into SS/WS6 sway bars. Both can be had with bushings and endlinks (I highly advise you to change out bushings and endlinks on a 130k mile car) for around $180-$200
Lowering springs DO provide a purpose though. They improve your handling by lowering your car's center of gravity. Sway bars will improve handling more than any mod you can do though. Good shocks, good bars, good springs, good handling.
