Eh yeah I was assuming he was paying to have somebody do it.

Why would lowering the car get you stuck in snow easier... That makes no sense. If you're driving in snow deep enough to have the body being lowered get you stuck, you're already stuck anyhow. It's not like it will be lying on the ground...

im going to do the install my self, i have all the tools to do it. would it be better to install ss springs instead of v6? and maybe if i lower it, it wont get stuck very often but, i was thinking that lowering springs would be more money anyways. if i can find lowering spring cheaper than regular springs, i will buy those.

Why do you want SS springs? AFAIK, they are beefier just to deal with the added V8 weight mostly, and your application is V6... If you want lowering springs, check out Strano springs. But then ya might as well get the Konis to match -- then you're way over your budget.

^ We just went over this -- WS6Store, yes they work great for stock ride height! HDs or SLPs doesn't much matter -- pretty much the same these days, but SLPs might be a tad better in the rear.

SLPs have a little stiffer dampening on the rear to help with handling. Either one would be fine though. After you get shocks, look into SS/WS6 sway bars. Both can be had with bushings and endlinks (I highly advise you to change out bushings and endlinks on a 130k mile car) for around $180-$200

Lowering springs DO provide a purpose though. They improve your handling by lowering your car's center of gravity. Sway bars will improve handling more than any mod you can do though. Good shocks, good bars, good springs, good handling.
