everyone says that v6 camaros stop at 118, but last night i racedmy friend who has an rx8 and the secondtime we raced he gave me a 2 car jump. when he caught me he stayed beside me. anyway,when i let off i was past 125 running 4500 in 5th, roughly. my friend said he was at 135 right beside me. i was amazed to know my v6 went that fast. i'm assuming my car has had something done to it, i've posted before that i went 120, but 135, that surprised the heck out of me.

 

i had a similar situation, everyone says if u take the limiter off it only goes 123-125 but i did 115 or more (had to look at the road) in 4th gear and when i shifted into 5th it was around 4 i think. maybe u have a jet chip in it. that would explain it.

 

i hit 155 in my 95 z28

 

haha, had no clue they would go that fast.......i'm not being serious. anyway, i'm getting a z28 with a carbureted lt1. i don't know the difference between fuel injected and carbureted, but it'll be a while before i get it anyway.

My old V6 (94 3.4 5spd) shut off at like 110. I haven't tested the Z28 yet, though. Heck, it hasn't even seen 100.

 

i knew nothing about vehicles before i got my car. some of my friends are mechanics, and as my car would mess up sometimes, they'd alwaysgive their 2 cents as to what was wrong. now it's gotten to the point where i'm the one telling them. i'm not saying i'm a genius, as my previous postwould clearly contradict that. i'mjust saying, everyone has to start somewhere.
