SLP cold air intake question

Default SLP cold air intake question

I am going to buy an SLP cold air intake and i am curious if i buy this item will i also have to the the SLP air lid box? And how hard is it to install? Also I was told to upgrade the mass airflow sensor. Should i buy that as well ?? And how hard is that to do ?

The air box or lid should come with CAI kit. The stock MAF should be big enough unless you do some heavy mods.

I got one for my '98 3.8 and it was a pretty easy installation, it took me about 30-40 minutes. you can either get the whole kit which comes with a K&N filter and the airbox lid or you can just get the intake by itself. i had to slice up my stock airbox a little since i just got the intake by itself. i also had to buy a K&N filter separately which cost me way more...if i could go back, i would buy the kit altogether...
