Default sensor question?????

new to the forum, my question is i have a 95 v6 3.4 liter camaro, i recently changed the water pump but broke off a sensor on my car. the connector is still there, ie, the white and blue cord thingy, but the thing on the engine block{the sensor} is missing, basically i cant connect the cable wire to the thing on the engine block , its basically a single prong sensor sticking out the engine block. i can connect the wire but it cant hold on so wen i drive it falls back off and i have to connect it again ,its just a single prong there, i want to knw what this sensor is, its on the driver side, right up under the coil packs, its a white plug with blue trimso if ur looking at it from the side ull see the coil packs then slightly to the right and underneath ull see this sensor,, please help , so i can fix the car! because it starts but once that connector starst falling off, the car will just stall on me.

they wont let me post pics on here,,, but if you click on 1995 chevy camaro next to my name, i have the pics there the main pic is te side of the car as if u opened the hood and stood next to the driver fender and looked at the engine, as are the other two pics.. the sensor in question is the white one with the blue wire, right in the middle of the pic, its right under the coil packs. as you can see i have some flimsy zip ties holding it on, but if i drive it , it'll fall off.

is it at the front of the motor, above the water pump and just a tad to the driver side of center, if so thats a camshaft position sensor.

is it screwed into the head on the front of the drivers side or lower intake manifold by the thermostat housing? one is called air charge temp sensor. and the other is your coolant temp sensor

yeah ive been searching and i think slick may be right ,it looks to be screwed on the head so im guessing the coolant temp gauge, thing is mine only has a female prong, most ive seen sold have 2 male prongs, ,, like i said the female prong is there i just cant keep the connector on, would it be feasible to just tape it in place or something of the sort. thanx guys this forum is great!!!

and would that sensor stop my car from going, whatever that sensor is, it even stops the engine from even turning on, then it'll just stop while im driving if the plug comes out.
