Just noticed im mssing a bolt on maniford-to-block. Either missing or snapped off. Too dark to continue tonight. will need to look further tomarrow... in the rain.

Also seeing the car get very hot, then fan kicks on. way to high too. But the other day i noticed a few drops of coolant. I can smell it too. Right under the throttle body. FFFF!

How in the heck do you snap an intake bolt? (not saying you did)
That could be the problem right there. (not saying it is)

no the "outtake". just noticed while sticking my nose in and having a looksy.
I may just have my guy tear it down. The engine needs a Gunk job then anotther. Really bad. I want to find this issue before spraying chemicals and water in the engine compartment.

Oh, the exhaust manifold? That wouldn't cause the problem you're having.
Have your catalytic converter looked at to see if it may be clogged.
As long as you're doing looky-sees, see if it's turning red after the engine gets hot.

I had the same problem. The issue was the metal pipe that has 2 small coolant lines. Mine was corroded and needed to be replaced. $35.00 at the dealer. Do a good coolant flush afterwards and replace your thermostat while you're at it. I'm sure that's why your car is running hot.

Don't use stopleak afterwards. Get the tabs from your GM dealer and crush 2 of them and put them in your rad afterwards. GM Techs put the tabs in after a gasket job or coolant flush.

Well today i lifted the hood after a short trip down the road. steam coming from drivers side, under the exahust manifold. cant see unless in the air. i can hear bubbling/air from same area. this car seems to be getting worse evey time i lift the hood.

called a local shop regarding intake gaket. apperently, not a cheap job to do.
This being a daily driver, I wouldnt be able to do it myself in a quick enough time.
I might just part the car out. I can only imagine a cracked block, bad head gasket and who knows what else along with the intake issue. maybe a LT1 swap?

sounds like a blown head gasket. that would explain your rough running. i dont think you have a soft plug in that area.

Under the exhaust manifold could be your timing cover gasket. Coolant goes through there to the water pump. Mine was doing the same thing and leaking so I re-did my timing cover gasket last summer. It's a pain, but not as bad as a head gasket.
