running about 200 help !
Stock thermostat for that car is a 195 degree thermostat. (You can get a cooler thermostat registered at 180 degrees.), so when the coolant reaches 195 degree, the thermostat opens, but the coolant does get a little hotter than the thermostats registered temp. So, I would have to say that that temp. is normal. Easy test...replace thermostat with 180 degree thermostat and see if the temp stays around 185 - 190. If it does, then themotor is fine. If it still goes up to around 200 degrees, you have another problem. I would say a slight crack in the head gasket.
