weird acceleration problem on my 97 3.8 automatic maro....i was on the highway earlier running about 55. i accelerated mildly to pass a car. this put me up to 60 to give you an idea of how much i accelerated. my automatic was in 4th obviously. but when i gave it some gas the acceleration got shaky, and the tachometer showed it too. it went voom voom voom voom voom and and kept going from 2100 to 1800 and back and forth. ive also had this problem trying to go up hills a few times. if i mash the gas enough to make it go back to 3rd it wont do this. but its just when iaccelerate a small enoughamount not to make it downshift. but yeah its a weird skippingproblem so id like some help diagnosing this. thanks!
