I have quite a bad oil leak coming from what I suspect to be the Oil Pump Drive Shaft O ring, and the rear main seal as the car is a 94 and has 170k on the clock. How difficult would it be to replace the O ring? My flippin Haynes manual had little to no info on how to do this.. Ie tear down of Intake manifold, and what else to remove to get to the back of the engine.. I am thinking of putting a good amount of work into her, now that I have got my tax return.

oil pump drive is in the same place a distributor would be, if you can get to it you should be able to change without removing intake. i would change upper and lower intake gaskets and the drive o ring before thinking about doing the rear main seal. you will need to remove the transmission for that. rear intake seal can leak as well so changing it may take care of all or most of the leak. i would recomend a factory service manual, here is one, im sure you can find a set for 35 40 bucks 1994 94 Chevrolet Camaro 3 4L 5 7L LT1 Engines Factory Repair Service Manual | eBay
